Switch modes and lower the virtual head. The horizontal band stays aligned with the horizon, illustrating why a grazing animal’s pupil orientation is so useful.
Sheep view: A wide grazing-animal view with an approximate dichromatic colour treatment.
What the simulation teaches
Horizontal pupils prioritise visual information running across the ground and horizon.
Side-set eyes provide broad coverage, while the forward binocular region is narrower than ours.
Sheep have dichromatic colour vision. The simulator offers an approximation, not a literal retinal view.
Eye rotation helps keep the pupil aligned with the horizon while a sheep lowers her head to graze.
From simulation to pasture
A bracelet camera cannot reproduce a sheep’s colour perception or panoramic retina. It can give members something equally delightful: a live view from the pace and height of a real sheep moving through her day.
